Nick Scholefield MRICS
Nick joined C&D Rural in 2021 as a Chartered Surveyor, where he undertakes all aspects of Valuations, Landlord and Tenant Matters, Compensation Claims, Sales and Lettings, Farm Subsidy Schemes, Farm Building Design and RICS Home Buyer Reports.
Nick has worked in Cumbria and Southern Scotland for more than 30 years and has extensive experience and knowledge in many different sectors.
He comes from a North Yorkshire farming background and began his professional working life with ADAS in Carlisle and Penrith. For five years, Nick ran his own practice and gained an excellent reputation for honest, straight forward advice. He was well known for giving independent farm building design advice and successfully designed several new dairy and beef farms. Farm and land sales were an integral part of his business at that time.
Nick moved from private practice to become the Estate Manager for a major industrial business with a large farm. This was an extremely varied role which Nick undertook for around 14 years.
Latterly, a twist of fate saw Nick moving into residential surveying for the last 3 years, which was a departure from his rural heritage but, nevertheless, broadened his skill set.
Nick lives between Carlisle and Penrith and, when not pottering about the garage or shed, can be found on the golf course!
